EMAIL RELATED ISSUES
Our mail servers accept emails either directly from WEBMAIL or from your local residing mail software like MS OUTLOOK. Likewise your emails download from the server either by using MS OUTLOOK or WEBMAIL.
IP blockage (IP black listing) or slow Internet speed is most of the time Email related problem when receiving/sending to/from your PC/notebook, therefore we recommend use of WEBMAIL if the problem exist. (to log to your webmail account use eg. www.yourcompany.com/webmail ).
YOU HAVE NOT LOGGED INTO THE POP/IMAP SERVER IN THE LAST 30 MINUTES
Many mail servers, including ours are set up with pop-before-smtp. This is a Perl script that allows email relay control based on successful POP / IMAP logins. In other words, you need to establish a valid POP or IMAP connection to your e-mail account before you can send e-mails.
If your e-mail client hasn't fetched your e-mail for more than 30 minutes and you try to send a message, you will most probably receive the following error: "Perhaps you have not logged into the pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP Authentication turned on in your email client." The solution is simple, you have to restart your e-mail client and fetch the new messages. Once you have done that, you will be able to send new emails.
THE SMTP SERVER IS REFUSING MY CONNECTION ATTEMPTS
Some Internet Service Providers are blocking the standard SMTP port (25 port) to prevent SPAM/BULK messages being sent from their networks. For your convenience, we have configured an alternative non-standard SMTP port . Please change the SMTP port from 25 to 2525 and you should be able to use SMTP server.
THE SMTP SERVER IS REJECTING MY PASSWORD/LOGIN
To avoid problems during logging to your SMTP server you should make sure that your mail client has the correct settings and that you are using the correct email password. Another important thing is that you use the right password for your email account.
If your mail client is set correctly and your SMTP server still rejects your password, we recommend resetting the password. Ask your webmaster for further assistance or click here to open support ticket.
CANNOT SEND EMAILS USING OUTLOOK
The most common reasons for not being able to send emails through Outlook are wrong Outlook settings or blocked port 25 by the Internet Service Provider (ISP). Here are a few checks you can make to ensure the problem is not on your end:
Use the correct Mail Client settings:
-
Incoming mail server (POP3/IMAP server): mail.yourdomain.com
-
Outgoing mail server (SMTP server): mail.yourdomain.com
-
Username: the full e-mail address like This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
-
SMTP authentication must be enabled for the login to be successful.
IMPORTANT: Please do not use secure authentication to your mail server. The most common mistake is to leave My SMTP server requires authentication checkbox unchecked. This option should always be enabled since most mail servers require such authentication. In our Email tutorial you can find detailed instructions on how to configure your Outlook to work with your web hosting account.
ERROR: 'Too many recipients'
The "Too many recipients" error will be displayed when:
-
An email message has more than 20 recipients;
-
A domain tries to send more than 400 emails per hour.
Unfortunately there are no exceptions to the above limitations and we are very strict in our anti-spam policies.
IP HAS BEEN BLACKLISTED BY AN ANTISPAM ORGANIZATION
If you receive a bounced-back message saying that IP address X.X.X.X is blacklisted by a spam organization this means that the fore mentioned IP address has been blacklisted for sending unsolicited mail. Such a listing is caused by a complaint to the spam-fighting organization. In the bounced-back mail there will be a link for more information.
To determine your actual IP visit web site www.whatismyip.com (you have to remove proxy setup in order to receive correct IP and not your proxy IP).
To remove blocked IP visit Blocklist Removal Center at www.spamhouse.org and follow requested procedure to remove IP from the blocklist.
CANNOT SEND ATTACHMENTS
You might not be able to send mails with attachments because of:
- A local antivirus / security application running on your local computer. It might detect that the attachment is either not permitted or is infected by a virus. In this case try disabling your application and resending the attachment;
- The file extension is found in the forbidden extensions list on the server. An example of this is the .eml extension; In this case try sending your attachment in a different format.
I CANNOT SEND EMAILS FROM MY BLACKBERRY
In order to be able to send emails from your BlackBerry, please always use the SMTP server of your ISP or mobile service provider instead of our SMTP server. This way you should be able to send emails from your BlackBerry without any problems.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR: 'Outlook reports: Sending and receiving reported error (0x800CCC65)'
If you receive the following error in your Outlook application:
Outlook reports:
Sending and receiving reported error (0x800CCC65) Your outgoing (SMTP) email server has reported an internal error this means that your application fails to connect to the SMTP server you have set for your e-mail account.
Most commonly such issues occur when the port for your SMTP connection is filtered by a local firewall application or by your Internet service provider. Therefore, you can try changing the port you use to connect to the SMTP server from 25 to 2525. If this doesn't help, you can try disabling or re-configuring your firewall and anti-virus applications you have installed on your computer.
If none of the above works and you continue to receive this error, you should contact your Internet service provider. They should be able to provide you with more detailed information on whether they are filtering any ports used for SMTP connections.
AN EMAIL HAS BEEN DELAYED
Delivery of email messages may delay because of temporary server problems or network issues. Such problems might be either on the sender's end or on the recipient's end. In such cases there is nothing much user can do and we take all measures to minimize such issues on our end.
