AIR Communication System

Building blocks of AIR System

1. Central MAIN Station consisting of:

  • TV & RA satellite and terrestrial receiving systems

  • AM demodulators & MPEG2 encoders (for analogue channels)

  • DVB-T modulators & MUX & combining system

  • CMTS and air wireless Internet transmission system for IP (data & voice)

  • AIR coding system & servers (Control, NMS, User, Administration)

2. BASE Station(s) - wireless downlink and uplink communication interface to end users in the frequency range of 2 to 26 GHz

3. CPE (Customer premises equipment) consisting of:

  • ODU unit converts 2 to 26 GHz to UHF CATV frequency range in downlink and vice versa in uplink

  • IDU provides connectivity to data terminal and telephony user equipment through cable modem
